Recently we discovered this website, Lovely, which has tickled us pink and set our hearts a flutter. Mushrooms seem to be everywhere these days and they've come a long way from the days of The Grateful Dead, hemp necklaces and psychedelic decor. We scoured Etsy for some of the cutest little mushrooms out there, and we found all these little gems just waiting to be adopted.

Color: Cactus

Our color inspiration today is taken from a beautiful cactus garden we visited in Northern California. These muted greens, washed out browns and warm earthy reds remind us of a hot sunny summer day in the desert. Wouldn't these colors look so peaceful and soothing in a bedroom filled with crisp white fabrics, rustic wood furniture and cool concrete flooring? We would add the soothing scent of Burn Voyage's Silver Springs candle by lighting a couple on the bedside tables.

How sweet the spotlight is! One of my favorite jewelry lines has received some much-deserved press in OK! Magazine and ShopDreamy is overjoyed by the mention. I'll admit, every piece of Nashelle jewelry I've ever put on has come home with me and, of course, I've visited the workshop in Bend, Oregon on more than one of my trips up there. So it's of little surprise that I'm so happy to see the coupling of Nashelle and ShopDreamy in national print. Dreamy turns THREE!

That's right folks, Dreamy has been serving up a hearty slice of bath, body, baby and gift love, in the Encinitas area, for THREE YEARS now! We are so tickled that we have this wonderful community to support and be supported by. Dreamy kicked off its fourth year with a relaxing, beautiful and gratitude filled weekend complete with all the Dreamy fixings! Guests enjoyed crisp sparkling Prosecco and cupcakes from Cupcake Love.

Hello Yellow!

Dreamy is feeling the springtime love with one of our favorite colors... YELLOW! So if we were inclined to redecorate the Dreamy bathroom this week, we might want to pick up these cute marigold yellow knobs from anthropologie. It would be super fun to have wallpaper custom made by designyourwall, just like the geometric star print above. If we had a gigantic tub in our Dreamy bathroom, we would definitely put some of these Kosta Boda yellow glass votives around the tub. We love this school bus yellow trash can from VIPP ! We would also love to dry off with these luxurious yellow and cream towels from anthropologie. And of course, no bathroom is complete without a soft summery scent like the new Soleil scent from Voluspa. Last, but not least, a big Jonthan Adler vase on the vanity, full of yellow ranunculas. Ahhhh... now doesn't that make you want to take a Dreamy bath?

Spring Fever

1. branches of blossoms and bunches of bright daisies.
2. sandals and sundresses
3. the beach and our bikinis
(even if we haven't quite stuck with that workout plan)
4. live music outdoors
5. spring cleaning and finding things we didn't even realize we lost
6. fresh fruit in season
7. shower season: baby showers, bridal showers and April showers!
8. planning summer road trips and daydreaming about fun vacations
9. puppies, kittens, baby birds chirping in their nests...
10. JUICY COLORS!!!

Sunday with Lotus Love Beauty

Sunday is the best day of the week. Especially here in downtown Encinitas where families are out and about enjoying the beautiful Southern California sunshine and cool ocean breeze. This peaceful weekend atmosphere makes it difficult not to stop by the shop at Dreamy and hang out a while or.... BLOG! I do love a little Sunday blogging.

Just this morning, Anna was telling me about one of the beautiful women whose products we carry at Dreamy. Jessica Gulati is the owner and creator of one of our favorite local beauty brands, Lotus Love Beauty. My favorite of the products are the bath salts, because I am a sucker for an hour long bath every night, but the creamy lotions and intensely scented oils are truly amazing. Not only does Lotus Love Beauty create scrumptious treats for your body but they are all 100% vegan, not tested on animals, packaged beautifully in recyclable packaging and they participate in the generous and loving Shanti Project. Happy Thanksgiving Eve! Dreamy is filled today with smiles and thanks while we prepare for our big After Thanksgiving 3-Day Sale. The lovely store has been entirely re-arranged and feels as fresh as the fall air surrounding us. Wishing everyone a very Dreamy Thanksgiving filled with friends, family and, of course, fabulous food. We're excited to see our Dreamy holiday shoppers on Friday morning for festive mimosas, decadent hot chocolate & scrumptious cookies. Rumor has it there might even be some freshly baked apple spice muffins too...ahh, loving the holidays. Exciting note: we're opening early on Friday...9am! Oh yes, that's early for us Dreamy girls.
