Color: Cactus

Our color inspiration today is taken from a beautiful cactus garden we visited in Northern California. These muted greens, washed out browns and warm earthy reds remind us of a hot sunny summer day in the desert. Wouldn't these colors look so peaceful and soothing in a bedroom filled with crisp white fabrics, rustic wood furniture and cool concrete flooring? We would add the soothing scent of Burn Voyage's Silver Springs candle by lighting a couple on the bedside tables.

A Dreamy Holiday: Happy 4th!

From all of us here at the Dreamy headquarters... we wish you a very happy Independence Day! We hope this Saturday is filled with family, friends, fun and food for you all. Here in Encinitas we are celebrating by watching the Neptune Neighborhood parade and sipping on some sweet spiked lemonade. Delicious bar-b-que, potato salad and some cherry pie for dessert. Mmmm!

Found On Etsy: Poppies!

Dreamy is in love with our California poppies that have been blooming, er, popping up, all over the place this summer. Our delightful state flower has inspired us to search the always exciting "Etsy" high and low for all varieties of items detailed with this darling little bloom.

Check it out here.We at Dreamy are always suckers for unique and colorful jewelry and we couldn't resist this beautiful necklace in blue and poppy red. Liven up your kitchen with these darling dishtowels adorned with a row of red poppies.

Middle Row: We do adore a spontaneously sent note card and this simple but sweet greeting is no exception. And how about this oh-so-practical and oh-so-delightful tote? We'll take 3 for all our shopping needs!

Bottom Row: Oh my goodness! This clutch is a must-have accessory to liven up any outfit, and we would love to use this wine set for a warm summer night's gathering of wine and cheese. And last, but certainly not least, we absolutely adore this lovely signed & numbered (run of 300) limited edition letterpress print by Delphine.

Dreamy Evolution

Looking around the store today, I started thinking about the evolution of Dreamy and thought it might be fun to show you how this turquoise loveliness came to be. Here's a photo of the canvas of Dreamy:Not a drop of gorgeous turquoise to be found!
Did you notice the need for a serious restructuring of the ceiling:And so, a lovely new ceiling in place with a drastic change of the color scape:

Progress! The feel of Dreamy starts with the color of the walls. Don't you just feel happy and peaceful looking at this? More to come, I think that might be enough construction shots for now.
