Hello Yellow!

Dreamy is feeling the springtime love with one of our favorite colors... YELLOW! So if we were inclined to redecorate the Dreamy bathroom this week, we might want to pick up these cute marigold yellow knobs from anthropologie. It would be super fun to have wallpaper custom made by designyourwall, just like the geometric star print above. If we had a gigantic tub in our Dreamy bathroom, we would definitely put some of these Kosta Boda yellow glass votives around the tub. We love this school bus yellow trash can from VIPP ! We would also love to dry off with these luxurious yellow and cream towels from anthropologie. And of course, no bathroom is complete without a soft summery scent like the new Soleil scent from Voluspa. Last, but not least, a big Jonthan Adler vase on the vanity, full of yellow ranunculas. Ahhhh... now doesn't that make you want to take a Dreamy bath?

Spring Fever

Ten of our favorite things about Spring are:

1. branches of blossoms and bunches of bright daisies.
2. sandals and sundresses
3. the beach and our bikinis
(even if we haven't quite stuck with that workout plan)
4. live music outdoors
5. spring cleaning and finding things we didn't even realize we lost
6. fresh fruit in season
7. shower season: baby showers, bridal showers and April showers!
8. planning summer road trips and daydreaming about fun vacations
9. puppies, kittens, baby birds chirping in their nests...
10. JUICY COLORS!!!

Sunday with Lotus Love Beauty

Sunday is the best day of the week. Especially here in downtown Encinitas where families are out and about enjoying the beautiful Southern California sunshine and cool ocean breeze. This peaceful weekend atmosphere makes it difficult not to stop by the shop at Dreamy and hang out a while or.... BLOG! I do love a little Sunday blogging.

Just this morning, Anna was telling me about one of the beautiful women whose products we carry at Dreamy. Jessica Gulati is the owner and creator of one of our favorite local beauty brands, Lotus Love Beauty. My favorite of the products are the bath salts, because I am a sucker for an hour long bath every night, but the creamy lotions and intensely scented oils are truly amazing. Not only does Lotus Love Beauty create scrumptious treats for your body but they are all 100% vegan, not tested on animals, packaged beautifully in recyclable packaging and they participate in the generous and loving Shanti Project. This abundance of love does not have to disappear with the passing of Valentine's Day. Here at Dreamy, we vote to devote the entire month of February to loving and being loved. Hey, not just that, but how 'bout the entire year of 2009? We like the idea of passing sweet notes, indulging in dreamy products, and sending fresh flowers just because.
